Privacy policy
Product analytics via PostHog, no advertising. Last updated .
The short version
Reading this site requires nothing from you: no account, no sign-up. There is no advertising network and no cross-site tracking. We use PostHog for product analytics so we can see which pages are used and fix problems. That is first-party analytics, not an advertising profile, and we do not sell it.
You can optionally create an account to connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to our data. It needs an email address and a sign-in link or code we send you, no password. If you connect an assistant, we record the requests it makes to our data, never the rest of your conversation with it.
What we collect
Two things from every visitor, and the rest only if you choose to send it:
- Server logs. Our hosting and network providers record ordinary request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — to keep the service running and stop abuse. They are not joined to anything else and not used to profile visitors.
- Usage analytics. PostHog records page views, product events, errors and, where enabled, session recordings of how the page is used, with text typed into form fields masked. Each browser gets an anonymous identifier stored as a first-party cookie. If you sign in, that identifier is linked to your account.
- Quote requests, only if you send one. Your name, phone number, optional email address and the car, service or rental you asked about, which we email to our operations inbox to pass to a business that can answer. Analytics record that a request was sent, without your name, phone or email.
- Account data, only if you create an account to connect an AI assistant. Your email address; a session record holding the IP address and browser the session was opened from; which assistant application you authorised and what you allowed it to read. Accounts have no password; the only exceptions are test accounts we create ourselves for app-directory reviewers.
- AI-assistant requests, only if you connect an assistant. For each request it makes, PostHog records the tool called, the arguments the assistant sent (such as a brand, a model, a model year, a mileage or an asking price), how long the answer took and how large it was, any error, which assistant application made it and your account identifier. We also count requests per minute to enforce a rate limit. We do not record our answers, and we never receive the rest of your conversation: an assistant sends us only what each request needs.
What we do not collect
Search runs in your browser against a published index: what you type into it is not sent to our server. The price check puts the car, year, mileage and asking price in the page address, so they appear in server logs and page-view analytics like any URL, with no contact details. We never ask for your postal address, date of birth, ID or payment details. We do not buy, sell, rent or trade personal data.
Who else touches the data
Our hosting provider runs the application and its database, and Cloudflare sits in front of it; both process request logs on our behalf. PostHog processes product-analytics events on our behalf (PostHog Cloud, United States). Sign-in emails and quote requests are sent through Send & Retain. A quote request is passed to the dealer, rental company or garage that can answer it.
Retention
Server logs are kept for a short operational window and then rotated out. Request counts are per-minute rate-limit windows and are swept within days. Usage analytics and AI-assistant requests are retained in PostHog according to that project's retention setting. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and under the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection over personal data held about you.
Write to [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold, or delete it — including an account and the analytics events and AI-assistant requests recorded under its identifier. You can disconnect an assistant at any time from that assistant's connector settings.
Children
The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything that collects data — an analytics tool, a mailing list, a new form, a new kind of request record — this page changes before that ships, and the date above moves with it.
