How the figures are made
Every number on this site is either a published list price with its source, or a model we explain here. Data as of 2026-10-12.
New list prices
Entry prices per trim come from each brand's UAE distributor, or a new-car price guide where the distributor does not publish one. Each price links to its source and the date it was checked. Prices not yet checked are marked and kept out of search engines until they are.
Used values
A used value starts from today's entry list price, deflated by 2% a year to approximate what that model year cost new. It then loses a first-year drop and a yearly rate set by the car's segment, scaled by how well the brand (and a few nameplates) hold value in the Gulf. Mileage is judged against 20,000 km a year: each 10,000 km above or below moves the value about 2%.
The fair range is ±8% for a new car, widening 1% a year to ±18%, because trim, condition and history matter more as cars age.
This is a model, not a record of sales. We will calibrate it against real listings and say so on each page when we do.

Rental rates
Each segment has a daily band, anchored to its cheapest and dearest list prices; a car sits in the band where its price sits in the segment. A week costs 7 days × 0.85, a month 30 days × 0.55, reflecting long-hire discounts. Ranges are ±15%. Compact sedans run AED 80–140 a day.
Repair costs
Each job has a dealer and an independent-garage band for a mainstream car, VAT and labour included. Brands are grouped by parts and labour cost: economy ×0.8, mainstream ×1, premium ×1.8, luxury ×2.6, exotic ×4.5.
What this is not
Not a valuation, an offer or financial advice. Inspect the car, check its RTA history and confirm the price with the seller. Businesses listed come from public map listings; a listing is not an endorsement.
